I hate New Year's resolutions. Since so many of them have been broken over the years, the term doesn't have any meaning at all to me.
That being said, I think it is imports for everyone to take time to reflect on the past year — evaluate on what was (or wasn't) accomplished — and make plans/set goals for the coming year.
So many people are short sighted these days. They can't seem to look past the coming week, month, etc. That is a recipe for failure.
Set personal and professional goals for 2012. Then do everything you can to achieve them. Even if you don't actually reach what you aimed for, I assure you that things will be better than if you had never tried in the first place.
May the Blog Be With You.
