Well, I am into the second phase of the Dave's version of the Atkin's Diet. The good news is that I have lost 16 pounds in the past two weeks. However, 12 of that was week one, and just 4 during week two. Hard not to be a little disappointed on those second week numbers.
Still, an average of 8 pounds a week isn't shabby at all. I will have to step it up though if I want to reach my target weight by Thanksgiving. I just don't think I have the willpower to make it through the holiday season in low carb mode.
Found some great things that have helped me put some variety in my meals:
Buffalo wings... Fried and have only 1 carb, because of the sauce
Fajita Taco salads are my friend... No dressing, and don't eat the shell. Might I suggest Trejos or Nicky's (Bossier) versions.
Coffee is OK and use half and half. Only one carb per two tablespoons.
Speaking which, the coffee is ready...
Until next time...

Despite the differences we have had, I support EVERYONE living a healthy lifestyle. I wish all those trying to lose weight the best on their endeavors. Congratulations! Keep it up!
Thanks Josh. Watching your progress has been some of the inspiration for me. Lost quite a bit of weight back in 2002, but then gained it all back over the last 9 years. This time, I am going to do my best to change my habits for good. Thanks again for the encouragement.
