I made the mistake of watching the first Left Behind movie before deciding whether or not to read the books. Like many adaptations, the movie does not do the book justice. However, I believe the casting in the movie could have been much better. (Sorry, Kirk Cameron)
This was the topic of conversation between my good friend Josh and I recently. He game me some of his ideas on main characters and I kind of ran with it from there.
So here is the new cast list for Left Behind, the feature film:

Harrison Ford as Capt. Rayford Steele

Jessica Simpson as Hattie Durham
Ben Kingsley as Chaim Rosenweig
Ben Affleck as Pastor Bruce Barnes
Michael Keaton at Steve Plank
Jenifer Garner as Chloe SteeleSo those are some of my choices. I have others from the subsequent books, like Glenn Close as Verna Zee and Diane Keaton as Amanda Steele.
Think it would be a "blockbuster?" It's gotta be better than some of the junk coming out this Christmas movie season.

Perfect cast, especially Ben Kingsley as Chaim. That version, I'd like to see. I'd like to add Gary Sinise for Ken Ritz and Patrick Stewart as Tsion Ben Judah to top it all of. Just find something for Will Smith and you'd have pure gold.
Personally, I'm glad none of these fine actors decided to ruin their succesful careers by acting in a scaremongering fundamentalist christian propaganda film.
Wow! Awesome choices at all positions for the cast! I can see Daniel Craig as Nicolae as well! Great job!
