Life happens.
Isn’t it funny how the routines we enjoy in life are often interrupted by life itself? For example, I remember when I started this blog, I planned to write at least once a week, if not more often. For a while, things went well. I found myself in a routine.
Then life happened.
The duties of work, home and church all crept in to my established routine – right to the place where there was no more routine at all.
All of a sudden, time sped up and the missed blog entry here and there became months of no writing whatsoever.
In fact, someone commented on a blog entry I had written a few months back, which reminded me how long it had actually been since my last entry.
So here we are, the latest attempt to return to the blogging routine. Perhaps we can glean some sort of deeper truth from the past few months of “interrupted routine.”
I performed a Google search on famous quotes about routines for some inspiration, but nothing jumped out at me.
As far as I can tell, we all like certain routines, but it is the things that knock us out of them that we remember.
Perhaps it is God’s way of keeping us on our toes. After all, if we stayed in routine all the time, life would grow dull and boring.
May the Blog Be With You.
