16 Trillion and Counting...

I don't usually delve into politics on this blog, but since both conventions are now over, I figured the waters were properly stirred.

We heard a lot from both parties. Each side pepped up their base — as expected.

But...

The problems of our nation still remain, with no real solutions planned or in the works.

The idea of a $16 trillion debt is too large for the average American to comprehend. If there is one issue in this election (and every one after it) that should be addressed, it is this one.

Regardless of political party, philosophy or position, America needs a solution to the debt issue.

Comedian Tim Hawkins wrote a parody song talking about what the government tries to do. But, as with all comedy, the truth shines through.

Until we get our debt situation under control, all the rest doesn't really matter.
